Three Chinese films were shortlisted for the "new wave" award at the opening of Busan Film Festival

In the main competition unit, 14 films will compete for the 'new wave' award, including three Chinese films. Among them, the train to spring, starring Li mincheng and Ren Suxi, tells the story of young people in the town looking for themselves and running for life; "Youth and the sea", directed by sun aoqian, is starred by a large number of 'plain people' (those without acting experience), which is described from the perspective of a little boy; The long waiting for the fragrance of jackfruit tells a touching story about family and love.

At the 23rd Busan Film Festival last year, the Chinese film snow storm directed by Cui Siwei and starred by Zhang Zhen, Ni Ni and Liao Fan won the 'new wave' award.

In addition, more than 20 Chinese films will also appear in other screening units of this film festival. In the high-profile 'master exhibition' unit, the work of Chinese director Wang Ying "return to the garden kitchen, Hu Bu return" will appear. In the "window of Asia" unit, Zheng Xiuwen's Chinese films such as the taste of pepper and the animated film jiyuantai No. 7 will appear.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Korean films. This film festival also launched a special exhibition of the "100 year history of Korean films".

Busan Film Festival was founded in 1996 and will last until October 12.
