Does the Civil Affairs Bureau work on National Day

The Civil Affairs Bureau doesn't work on national day. To get a marriage certificate, according to relevant regulations, the Civil Affairs Bureau has a seven-day holiday on national day. From October 1 to 7, the Civil Affairs Bureau does not go to work to handle various businesses. If it goes to work normally on October 8, it can bring the certificate to handle marriage registration.

What do you need to bring to get a marriage certificate?

(1) Chinese citizens apply for marriage in China.

Both parties must apply for marriage registration in person at the marriage registration authority in the place where one party's registered permanent residence is located. When applying, they shall hold the following certificates and certificates:

(1) Household registration certificate;

(2) Resident identity card;

Those who have divorced shall also hold a divorce certificate. If a party to a divorce restores the relationship between husband and wife, both parties must personally apply for remarriage registration at the marriage registration authority in the place where one party's registered permanent residence is located.

(2) Chinese citizens and foreigners apply for marriage in China.

Both men and women must jointly apply for registration at the marriage registration authority designated by the people's Government of the province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the central government where one Chinese citizen's registered permanent residence is located. Chinese citizens and foreigners applying for registration must hold the following certificates respectively:

1. Certificates required for marriage registration of Chinese citizens:

(1) my registered residence certificate;

(2) The certificate of my name, gender, date of birth, nationality, marital status (unmarried, divorced, widowed), occupation, nature of work and who I apply to marry issued by the people's government at the county level where I am registered or the organ, school, institution and enterprise at or above the county level where I work.

2. Certificates required for marriage registration of foreign citizens

(1) My passport or other identity and nationality documents;

(2) The residence permit for foreigners issued by the public security organ, or the identity certificate issued by the foreign affairs department, or the entry and residence certificate for temporary visit to China;

(3) The certificate of marital status issued by the notary organ of the country or the certificate of marital status issued by the embassy or consulate of the country accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or the organ authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country.

3. Certificates required for marriage registration of foreign nationals:

(1) My passport or identity and Nationality Certificate in lieu of passport (stateless persons are exempted);

(2) The residence permit for foreigners issued by the public security organ;

(3) The certificate of my name, gender, date of birth, nationality, marital status (unmarried, divorced, widowed), occupation, nature of work and who I apply to marry issued by the people's government at the county level where I am registered or the organ, school, institution and enterprise at or above the county level where I work.
