Snowden's new book was sued by the U.S. Department of Justice: breach of confidentiality contract

Snowden

On the 17th local time, the U.S. Department of justice sued Snowden, accusing him of violating the confidentiality contract previously signed with intelligence agencies.

It is reported that Snowden signed confidentiality agreements with the CIA and the national security agency as a contractor and employee from 2005 to 2013.

The lawsuit said that according to the agreement, if it contains intelligence information, Snowden should submit the work to the agency for review before publication and obtain the written approval of each agency before publication.

Snowden was a contractor of the US National Security Agency and an employee of the CIA. In 2013, he leaked a large number of documents about the US intelligence department to the media and was accused of espionage and theft of government property. Snowden is now in exile in Russia.

Snowden told CBS this week that he hopes to return to the United States, but only if he gets a fair trial.
