1、 Year on year changes in prices of various commodities and services

In August, the price of food, tobacco and alcohol increased by 7.3% year-on-year, affecting the CPI (consumer price index) to rise by about 2.14 percentage points. Among them, the price of livestock meat increased by 30.9%, which affected the increase of CPI by about 1.31 percentage points (the price of pork increased by 46.7%, which affected the increase of CPI by about 1.08 percentage points); The price of fresh fruit increased by 24.0%, affecting the increase of CPI by about 0.39 percentage points; Poultry prices rose by 9.6%, affecting CPI by about 0.12 percentage points; Egg prices rose by 3.8%, affecting CPI by about 0.02 percentage points; The price of aquatic products increased by 1.5%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.03 percentage points; Grain prices rose by 0.7%, affecting CPI by about 0.01 percentage points; The price of fresh vegetables decreased by 0.8%, affecting the decline of CPI by about 0.02 percentage points.

The prices of the other seven categories rose and fell year-on-year. Among them, the prices of other goods and services, medical care, education, culture and entertainment increased by 4.7%, 2.3% and 2.1% respectively, and the prices of clothing, housing, daily necessities and services increased by 1.6%, 1.0% and 0.7% respectively; Transportation and communication prices fell by 2.3%.

The prices of the other seven categories rose by three, fell by two and leveled off month on month.
