777x cabin door explodes, Boeing accidents occur frequently, and Airbus wins directly

In the six months from October 2018 to March 2019, two Boeing 737max aircraft from Lion Airlines Indonesia and Ethiopian Airlines crashed one after another, killing 189 personnel of lion airlines and 157 personnel of Ethiopian Airlines respectively.

The above two major air crashes grounded Boeing's 737max by major airlines.

To make matters worse, according to foreign media reports, Boeing recently interrupted the test process of the new aircraft 777x because the cargo door of the aircraft suddenly exploded during the load test & hellip& hellip;

It is worth mentioning that Boeing planned to compete for orders with Airbus A350 with 777x.

The hatch exploded and fell during the test

According to the Seattle Times, a Boeing spokesman said on September 6 that due to technical problems, the company suspended the testing of its new long-distance aircraft 777x. The spokesman said that the final load test of the aircraft was part of the aircraft certification process, but the 777x encountered problems during this period and needed to suspend the test process.

According to the above report, at 1:30 p.m. local time on Thursday (5th), Boeing 777x was frustrated during high-pressure stress test, and a cargo door exploded outward.

A Boeing employee at the scene told the media, 'I heard a loud noise, and then the ground began to shake'. Fortunately, the accident did not cause casualties, but the cause of the hatch explosion is still unknown.

The accident is also a new blow to the 777x. The 777x was originally scheduled to make its first flight this summer, but Boeing has postponed its first flight to early 2020 due to problems with the general electric engine.

Some experts in the aviation industry said that due to engine problems, Boeing may not be able to deliver the first 777x until 2021.

The 777x used to replace the 777 can carry 400 to 425 passengers. At present, it has obtained orders from 8 airlines, including Emirates. Boeing plans to compete with Airbus A350 with 777x.

Boeing may be more anxious to see the latest order obtained by Airbus. On July 11, Air China Limited (Air China) announced that the company and its wholly-owned subsidiary Air China Import and Export Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as' Air China Import and Export Corporation ') planned to purchase 20 Airbus a350-900 aircraft from Airbus. The daily economic news reporter learned that the basic price of the 20 Airbus a350-900 aircraft traded is about US $6.537 billion. Of course, the actual transaction price will certainly be lower than this figure.

Data show that a350-900 aircraft is a long-range wide body passenger plane with twin engines (motive) turbofans developed and produced by Airbus, with a range of 7500 nautical miles (13900 km), and 285 seats can be placed in the three-level cabin layout. At present, in addition to Air China, Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines and China Eastern Airlines also operate this model.

Boeing expects 737max to resume operations in the fourth quarter of this year

After the accidents of Indonesia lion Airlines flight 610 in October last year and Ethiopia Airlines flight 302 in March this year, the safety of Boeing 737 Max has become the focus of the global aviation industry.

In view of the similarities between the two air crashes, CAAC stopped the commercial operation of the aircraft for the first time. Subsequently, the civil aviation regulatory authorities of various countries also made the decision of grounding one after another.

The investigation shows that in both accidents, the aircraft maneuverability enhancement system (MCAS) was wrongly activated. In order to completely eliminate the safety risk of 737 max, Boeing stopped the delivery of the model and quickly carried out detailed and comprehensive work on relevant issues.

On Monday, September 2, the official wechat of Boeing China reprinted an article by Mike middot, a company executive; In an interview with China civil aviation news, Mike sinnett answered the situation after the 737max grounded.

Mike said that more than 30 regulators around the world are jointly reviewing the upgraded 737max software, and Boeing estimates that 737max will resume operation in the fourth quarter of this year.

Boeing said that the company has met with Chinese airline customers to help them carry out training, let them know the progress, and help them properly maintain the grounded aircraft so as to resume operation immediately when the time is ripe. The company has held several 737max restoration seminars in China, actively communicated with Chinese customers, widely sought customer feedback, and maintained close communication and cooperation with Civil Aviation Administration of China.

However, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) recently said that it would not accept the go around order of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Boeing 737max. EASA will conduct its own test to determine whether to go around, including safety assessment and flight test for one week.

At present, the three major airlines in the United States have announced the delay of 737max go around. On September 1, United Airlines announced that it would delay the missed approach of flight 737max for another six weeks, delaying December 19 this year. On the same morning, American Airlines announced that its 737max go around was delayed to December 3. Southwest Airlines cancelled all 737max flights before January 6, 2020.

Boeing said in its financial report released on July 24 that if the plan to ban the flight of the 737 Max continues, the company may stop production of the 737 Max in the future. Boeing also said it was suffering its largest quarterly loss ever - about $3.4 billion (23.3 billion yuan).
