On the day of visiting the park, infant tourists under the age of 3 or 1.0m and below can enter the park free of charge. Tourists under the age of 16 must be accompanied by tourists aged 16 and above. The above definition of 'age' is subject to the date of birth of the tourist.

From September 9, 2019, tourists can use the new children's ticket definition standard when purchasing tickets for Shanghai Disneyland on and after October 8, 2019 through various official channels of Shanghai Disneyland Resort.

For children or infants who enjoy the child ticket discount or free admission of infants and young children (as mentioned above), when entering the park, their guardians must carry and show the original of the valid identity document issued by the government with the date of birth and photos of the accepted children or young children themselves ('official identity document ').

For mainland Chinese tourists, acceptable 'official identity documents' include: resident identity card of the people's Republic of China, social security card of the people's Republic of China and passport; The unacceptable 'official identity documents' include: household register (no photos), birth certificate (no photos), student card (non-governmental issued identity documents).

For other tourists, the only acceptable 'official identity documents' are: the pass for Hong Kong and Macao residents to and from the mainland or the travel permit of the people's Republic of China for tourists from Hong Kong and Macao, China; "Taiwan resident travel permit to and from the mainland" or "travel permit of the people's Republic of China" for tourists from Taiwan, China; Foreign passports for tourists from other countries and regions.

The preferential fare policies and standards for the elderly and disabled tourists remain unchanged. Tourists who do not meet the above special fares or free admission standards must purchase Park standard tickets when entering Shanghai Disneyland.
