According to a study in the journal Nature on August 28, scientists found a complete skull of a lake side Australopithecus 3.8 million years ago in Ethiopia and reconstructed it. The skull owner is male, with prominent face, high cheekbones, large canine teeth and small skull. Lakeside Australopithecus lived about 4 million years ago. Previously, it was considered to be the ancestor of afar Australopithecus to which the famous specimen dew belongs. The discovery is of great significance for understanding the history of early human evolution.
