The 19th edition of the fifth set of RMB promotional film was issued on August 30. There is non cash

The people's Bank of China will officially issue the fifth set of RMB in 2019 from August 30, 2019. Just today, the central bank released the promotional film of the fifth set of RMB in 2019 to warm up for the official issuance next Friday.

It is reported that the fifth set of RMB in the 2019 version involves 50 yuan, 20 yuan, 10 yuan, 1 yuan notes and 1 yuan, 50 Jiao and 1 jiao coins. The 100 yuan notes have not been issued in the 2019 version and are still the 2015 version.

The overall design of the new version of RMB continues the previous version, but the details of some notes have been adjusted, and the front of the coin has been basically redesigned. The main improvement of the new version is to adopt more advanced anti-counterfeiting technology, improve anti-counterfeiting ability and printing quality, and make it easy for the public and self-service equipment to identify.

The central bank has answered a series of questions raised by netizens, including why issue a new version of RMB with non cash payment.

The central bank explained: "although the use of cash in China has declined with the rapid development of non cash payment, cash has remained an important payment tool in China for a long time due to factors such as historical evolution, consumer habits, and the needs of remote areas and special groups."
