Zhejiang garbage classification when will Zhejiang garbage classification be implemented

On August 21, the Construction Department of Zhejiang Province issued the classification standard of urban domestic waste in Zhejiang Province. This is the first provincial standard for the classification of urban domestic waste in China. It is edited by the office of the leading group for the classification of domestic waste in Zhejiang Province and will be officially implemented on November 1 this year.

The newly released standard is detailed to the delivery of different types of waste, transportation vehicle configuration, loading methods, loading standards and transportation requirements, the setting and placement regulations of each waste delivery point and collection point, as well as the treatment process and methods suitable for each type of classified waste. It covers all aspects of waste classification and has strong operability.

It is reported that the standard divides domestic waste into four categories: recyclables, hazardous waste, perishable waste and other waste. It also makes specific specifications for classified delivery and disposal of large waste, garden waste and decoration waste.

According to the relevant national standards, the marks, colors and capacities of various waste containers shall be unified. The recyclables shall be blue, the hazardous wastes shall be red, the perishable wastes shall be green and other wastes shall be gray. According to the standard, garbage delivery points in residential areas, farmers' food markets, government organs, enterprises and institutions, public places, hospitals, schools and other different places shall set and place collection containers according to different areas.
