Graduate students evade tickets 480 times, play tricks and face fraud prosecution

Taking the train without buying tickets, malicious ticket evaders have come up with various ways to evade tickets. This seemingly 'saving money' way has actually violated the law. Reporters learned in August 17th that recently, WuXi Railway Station police station of Shanghai Railway Public Security Department cracked a fraud case. Yang, a suspect, has been repeatedly evasion for more than 480 times since July 2018, and the amount involved is nearly 20 thousand yuan. Yang has been criminally detained by Shanghai railway police on suspicion of malicious fraud of railway ticket money, and has been included in the list of railway dishonest persons, limiting the purchase of tickets for 180 days.

According to the clues of intelligence research and judgment, the Wuxi station police station found that Yang had a long-term trip from Wuxi to Shanghai, but most of the tickets purchased by the man were short-distance tickets from Shanghai station to Shanghai west station and Wuxi station to Wuxi New Area Station. The ticket purchase records were quite different from the actual situation. It was preliminarily determined that Yang was suspected of malicious ticket evasion.

On August 15, the police of Wuxi station found that Yang bought the ticket from Shanghai station to Shanghai west station again, so they followed Yang from Shanghai railway station. On the bus, the police found that Yang evaded the conductor's ticket inspection by hiding in the bathroom and all the way to Wuxi. After Yang left the station, the police immediately came forward for cross examination and found that Yang held a ticket from Shanghai to Shanghai West g7260 purchased with his ID card and a ticket from Suzhou to Wuxi Z92 purchased with other people's ID card. Subsequently, the police found 10 similar tickets from 14 to 19 in their bag.

According to Yang, since the same ID card cannot buy multiple tickets for the same train on the same day, Yang generally uses his own ID card to buy the inbound ticket of 'two tickets' and the outbound ticket with the ID card of his relatives. The seized ticket for Suzhou Wuxi Z92 was purchased with his father-in-law's ID card.

Due to work reasons, Yang needs to travel from Wuxi to Shanghai for about 20 days a month. At the beginning, Yang also standardized buying tickets and taking the bus. Over time, he moved his' crooked brain '. Since July 2018, Yang has used his own ID card and relative ID card to buy short distance tickets to get in and out of the station. According to Yang, this opportunistic way can save more than 40 yuan each time and more than 1600 yuan a month.

Shanghai railway police remind passengers that when taking the train, they should purchase tickets in good faith and norms, do not try to evade tickets and other illegal acts, and do not embark on the road of law and crime because of greed for small and cheap.
