Causes of six explosions in Bangkok and a series of explosions in Thailand
4hw.com.cn: Reuters on August 2, six small explosions occurred in the Thai capital Bangkok on Friday (2 local time), killing at least four people.
Reuters quoted a senior local police officer as saying that the six explosions occurred in three locations, including three explosions in the government complex on watana road. At the site, the police also found an unexploded bomb device.
Police also said that five of the bombs were improvised time bombs.
On the same day, Thai Prime Minister Bayu said that the explosion undermined peace and hit the national image. Bayu said he had ordered an investigation into the matter and instructed relevant personnel to deal with follow-up matters.
Reuters noted that Bangkok is currently hosting the 52nd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) foreign ministers' meeting.
