Bradley joins the Lakers with only one vacancy left

Avery Bradley plans to sign a two-year, $9.7 million contract with the Lakers, with the second year as a player option.

The Grizzlies laid off Bradley on Saturday local time. He will join the Lakers after the clarification period on Monday.

The Lakers will use space to sign Bradley.

Bradley is famous for his defense. Irwin once said that Bradley is the best player to defend himself.

Bradley started 49 games for the Clippers last season and was traded to the Grizzlies in February. He started 14 times in the Grizzlies, averaging 16 points, 4 assists and 3.2 rebounds.

The 28 year old defender's career three-point shooting rate reached 36.4%.

After signing Bradley, the Lakers have 14 players, leaving only one vacancy.
