According to NBA reporter Adrian wojnarowski, a number of league sources revealed that after the free agent market opened, the Rockets planned to recruit Jimmy Butler, forcing 76 people to complete the first sign and then change deal with the Rockets.
The Rockets have no salary space to sign Butler. The Rockets may need to complete a multi team deal to balance Butler's salary.
According to several sources, the 76ers plan to actively operate and seek to sign a new contract with butler. They may use a five-year $190 million contract to fight the Rockets' pursuit of Butler.
In order to balance the salary, the Rockets may have to send Clint Capella, Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker, sources said.
According to previous reports, Butler plans not to implement the player option worth $19.8 million next season and test the free agent market. Houston is Butler's hometown.
In the regular season of 2018-19, Butler played 55 games for 76 people, averaging 33.2 minutes, getting 18.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.8 steals.
