Rome dug up Dionysian statues 2000 years ago, works of art during the Roman Empire
Last week, Italian archaeologists found a complete marble head statue near the ancient Roman site, dating back to the ancient Roman Empire in the 1st century BC.
Experts confirmed that this elegant, young statue with female features on its face should be the Dionysian in Greek mythology.
The head portrait was found under the medieval city wall. It is reported that in the middle ages, people often used the statue as a building material, reused and built into the building.
