Xiaomi refutes rumors about e-cigarettes why doesn't Xiaomi make e-cigarettes

On May 13, the account certified by Weibo as the 'spokesman of Xiaomi company' released a message, once again denying the rumors of Xiaomi making e-cigarettes.

Recently, a microblog account named 'Taki Xike' was officially certified, and its affiliated company is Beijing konjac Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as' konjac technology '). Public information shows that the company is recruiting e-cigarette structure engineers, e-smog engineers and tobacco oil flavorers for the 'Taki Xike' brand. The legal representative and major shareholder of konjac technology is Zhong Yufei.

It is reported that Zhong Yufei followed Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi company, as early as Jinshan period. He is an old employee with job number in the 21st place. Later, he served as Xiaomi mobile phone operation manager in Xiaomi company. It is also rumored that the new product launch of Xiaomi e-cigarette will be held in Shenzhen on May 21, and even invitations to similar launch conferences will flow out.

In response to this matter, Xiaomi refuted the rumor and said, 'once again, Xiaomi will not make e-cigarettes. We reserve the right to investigate the legal responsibilities of relevant organizations, institutions and individuals for the suspected fraudulent use of Xiaomi brand and misleading consumers'.

This is the second time Xiaomi has refuted the rumor of making e-cigarettes. In February this year, Xiaomi's ecological chain company was rumored to enter the field of e-cigarettes. Xiaomi officials responded that 'Xiaomi will not make e-cigarettes. This is pure rumor'.
