Ibuprofen may be fatal if used carelessly. The consequences of indiscriminate use of anti-inflammatory drugs are too terrible

4hw.com.cn: ibuprofen may not be familiar to many friends. In fact, it is a very common anti-inflammatory drug in our life. However, recently, French authorities said that indiscriminate use of ibuprofen may cause death.

According to the Parisian newspaper, according to a new survey commissioned by the French National Agency for drug and health product safety (ansm) to the drug vigilance center in tour and Marseille, patients often take the best-selling ketoprofen and ibuprofen anti-inflammatory drugs in the case of fever, headache or sore throat, but careless use of drugs may lead to infection complications, so the public must be vigilant.

Philip & middot, director of analgesic drugs of the French national drug and health product safety agency; Philippe Vella said that in the 18 years from 2000 to 2018, 337 drug-induced infection complications occurred in France, including 46 deaths from ketoprofen and 32 deaths from ibuprofen.

The newly disclosed report shows that such anti-inflammatory drugs may cause streptococcal and pneumococcal infections, affect the skin and soft tissue, cause necrotizing fasciitis, sepsis, complex abscess and other diseases, and even cause amputation and death in severe cases.

The French drug administration advises the public not to take anti-inflammatory drugs on their own in the case of fever or skin inflammation, respiratory tract inflammation, ear canal inflammation and angina pectoris. In addition to the possibility of complications mentioned above, some drugs may also cause damage to the kidney.

The report suggests that paracetamol should be given priority in the case of pain or fever, especially in angina pectoris, nasopharyngitis, ear canal infection, lung infection and skin injury inflammation, and should be taken as soon as possible, such as within three days of fever and five days of pain. If symptoms continue to deteriorate, seek medical attention in time. The report also recommends not taking two different drugs at the same time.
