Long term use of bed sheets will inevitably turn yellow due to sweat and other reasons. How to deal with it?
1. Exposure and soaking
For yellow sheets, we must clean them in the correct way. First, we put the Yellow sheets in the sun for 1-2 hours. Exposure to the sun will make the sheets whiter and make it easier to wash the yellowing marks. After exposure to the sun, we soak the Yellow sheets in water at normal temperature for more than 1 hour.
After completing step 1. How should we clean the Yellow sheets? Hand wash or machine wash? In fact, it can be washed by hand or in the washing machine. But before normal cleaning, be sure to sprinkle some washing powder for pre cleaning (washing powder can remove sweat stains). If you encounter stubborn sweat stains, then dishwashing detergent will come in handy. Squeeze some detergent on the yellowing part, and then brush it several times with a small brush.
The above Xiaobian has introduced two methods. These two methods seem to be time-consuming. If you don't have much time, do we have any other methods for yellow sheets? Boiling is also a good way. Of course, there is a premise. Your sheets are relatively heat-resistant sheets, otherwise they will cause some damage to the sheets.
First boil a pot of water, about 70-80 ℃, pour it into the basin, soak the Yellow sheets in it for a few minutes, add some detergent, and wait until the detergent dissolves. Brush back and forth with a small brush several times until the yellowing part is eliminated.
4. White electric oil
The above methods can not remove the yellowing phenomenon of the sheets, so the yellowing degree may be a little deep. At this time, we can scrub with white electric oil. First expose the sheets to the sun for 1-2 hours. After exposure, add some white oil to the yellowing parts for scrubbing. It is recommended that you wear gloves when using white electric oil. After all, white electric oil is a chemical substance to avoid harm to human body. After the bed sheets are scrubbed, wash them with cold water.
5. Bleach cleaning
For some solid and light colored sheets, once yellow, the stain macula will be very firm. Consider soaking or cooking with bleach. However, before using bleach, you must pay attention to the cleaning precautions on the label of the bed sheet to see whether it can be cleaned with bleach, and pay attention to the soaking time and the amount of bleach. Otherwise, instead of solving the yellowing of the bed sheet, it will damage the bed sheet.
6. Rice washing water + orange peel is simple and effective
Keep the rice washing water or put the orange peel into the pot, add water and cook it to cool, soak the yellowing quilt cover and pillow cover, and scrub it to make it white easily.
This method is not only simple, but also unlike the fluorescent whitening agent sold on the market, it will have side effects on the skin and will not hurt the fabric. It is a good method worth trying.
7. Remove the yellow stains caused by sweating with ammonia
Sweat stains caused by sweating, because sweat containing fat is easy to condense in cloth fibers, so when washing, add about 2 tablespoons of ammonia, soak it for a few minutes, scrub it, and then wash it with clean water. According to the general procedures, you can remove the yellow sweat stains! But you can also try milk!
