What do you eat for the Spring Festival in the south

According to the customs of the north and the south, the North eats dumplings for the Spring Festival, while the south usually doesn't eat dumplings, but dumplings. It's just different customs. It's a Chinese New Year ceremony left over from thousands of years. Now some southerners also eat dumplings with the north for the Chinese new year, and northerners also eat dumplings for the Chinese New Year. But most people still abide by tradition.

The difference of dumplings between the South and the north is due to the different personalities and water and soil of the people in the South and the north. In terms of the difference between eating dumplings, most of the northern dumplings are boiled, followed by steamed dumplings, and fried dumplings again. Most of the southern dumplings are fried dumplings. Like Wuhan, either fried dumplings or separate potstickers are variants of dumplings. Fujian has more steamed dumplings, probably because Fujian people like to cook and steam and pay attention to the original flavor.

It's big. The northern dumplings are big, hand rolled leather, full of stuffing, heroic, simple and rough. The south is exquisite and varied, such as Kunqu Opera and Yue opera, with gentle and considerate aftertaste.

On the soup, the northern dumplings pay attention to turning the original soup into the original food. The dumplings are fished out one by one. If you want to drink soup, hold another bowl. In the south, it is similar to wonton. Dumplings are served with soup, sprinkled with a little shallot and eaten in a bowl.

Strangely, in Wuhan, people call wonton 'small dumplings', while hand copying in Sichuan also has similarities with dumplings, so to some extent, dumplings and wonton are inseparable.
