Why is homosexuality recognized in China?

Now many countries have adopted a protective and acceptable attitude towards homosexuality, but China still can't accept it. Why isn't homosexuality recognized in China? Look at the following reasons~

There is no doubt that ancient China discriminated against homosexuality, but the reasons for discrimination are different from those in the West. We don't have Judaism / Christianity / Islam as a cultural tradition, or God / Allah as a supreme God who dominates everything. Therefore, Chinese people never regard homosexuality as a crime against God, and it is impossible to take any extreme suppression measures.

Confucianism has been the mainstream ideology in China for two thousand years. Its main sexual concept is "only reproductive teleology", that is, sex is only regarded as the preparatory stage of reproduction. Therefore, all the sex that is conducive to reproduction is reasonable and legal; for example, the marriage system of 'wife, concubine, maidservant and prostitute as a whole', including the emperor's harem system, is not for sexual pleasure, but to increase the possibility of reproduction, so as to ensure the realization of succession. On the contrary, any sexual relations and behaviors that are considered to be harmful to reproduction are considered abnormal and abnormal, such as celibacy, infertility, oral and anal sex, etc.

It is in such a culture that homosexuality is considered abnormal because it is impossible to reproduce. Until today, the vast majority of Chinese ordinary heterosexuals also see homosexuality in this way.

However, this view can only be called discrimination at best. It is far from hatred in emotion, persecution in society and severe punishment in law. Therefore, it is too much to say that ancient China tolerated homosexuality, but compared with the history of Western Christian era, Chinese people are not so extreme.

So why is this? Why does it not develop from discrimination to hatred? What has hindered this development?

Not only because there is no religion, but also because of the sexual relationship system of "non exclusive couple", which is commonly known as the marriage system of "monogamy can take concubines and whore".

In such a system, any man with enough strength can reproduce as much as possible through wives and concubines. Even if he goes to "homosexuality" again, even if this kind of sexual relationship will not produce offspring, it will not harm his big goal of inheriting his family.

As a result, homosexuality has not been separated separately. Not only has there not been such a concept, but even a separate address is not very popular. The most typical is that in many sexual literature works in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, although they described the group intercourse of many people, they did not deliberately distinguish between men and women, men and women, and there was no praise or criticism.

In fact, it is the same truth that whoring is not strictly prohibited in all dynasties: as long as a man completes the task of inheriting incense, he will actually get more sexual freedom, not only adultery, whoring, but also homosexuality. In other words, homosexuality is only one of the many sexual relationships that men can choose, so there is no need to persecute it.

However, since 1950, when the "100% hegemony of the exclusive couple system" was forcibly implemented in China, the objective and necessary conditions for not severely punishing homosexuality in history have been lost. As a result, the situation of 'homosexuality does not produce offspring' has gradually changed from the original 'harmless' extra choice' to a 'life mistake', then to a 'deviation from society', and finally to a 'psychopath'. That is to say, it is precisely because of the establishment of "exclusive couple hegemony" in heterosexuality that heterosexuals' other sexual choices are suppressed first, homosexuality is brought in, and homosexuality is forced to become more and more marginalized, and they are increasingly on the wrong path from discrimination to hatred.
