Yuanxiao originated from King Zhao of Chu in the spring and Autumn period. On his way back home, when he was on the Yangtze River by boat, he saw several floating objects floating on the river, white and a little yellow. The boatman fished them up and gave them to King Zhao of Chu. When eating, King Zhao found that there was flesh as red as rouge, which was delicious. After returning to China, King Zhao ordered people to imitate hawthorn for their subjects to celebrate the reunion. It's the 15th day of the first lunar month, and future generations will learn from each other.
Today, it is called yuanxiao in the north and Tangyuan in the south. These are close to "Reunion", meaning reunion, and also on the night of the 15th lunar month, symbolizing the reunion, harmony and happiness of the whole family. People also use them to miss the new people who have left.
Lantern Festival
The annual Lantern Festival is coming. My father, mother and I go to Renmin Street to watch the lanterns.
When we got to the street, we were attracted to another world by the group of lights. There are rotating lights, beautiful Vosges and so on.
We went inside and first turned our eyes to the magnificent Vosges. The predecessor of Vosges was like a locomotive, and behind it were colorful lights, which represented the bright future of peace and Vosges group.
There is also a "Jinniu send blessing", which has a Jinniu on both sides, and a rotating wick in the middle. Above the wick is a pink lotus in bloom, and below it is Gaomi "six scenes", which shows the wisdom and hard work of our Gaomi people.

5 Lantern Festival

After supper, our family went to see the lanterns, which were colorful. The streets are decorated with lights and colorful scenery. There are a lot of people and traffic. There are so many tree lights in Zhongshan Square, which reminds me of a few poems: "fire trees and silver flowers together, star bridges and iron locks open.
