The 507 carat curinan heritage diamond (as big as an egg, weighing only 100 grams or 3.53 ounces) sold by Petra diamond company (PDL. L), a diamond supplier in London, is $35300000 &; it is the most expensive diamond raw stone in the world.

The original diamond named the Cullinan heritage is a 507 card South African Diamond embryo of top class IIa type, which was purchased by Chow Tai Fook jewellery and gold Co., Ltd. on February 26, 2010 for HK $275 million (about US $35.3 million). Chow Tai Fook jewelry plans to build the 507 card South African Diamond embryo into the world's largest super perfect round diamond with more than 100 cards.

The world's most expensive diamond raw stone ranks among the top 20 high-quality rough diamonds in the world. In September 2009, it was found in the curinan mine in South Africa. It came from the famous curinan mine in the suburb of Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa. It was mined together with three rare diamonds weighing 168, 58.5 and 53.3 carats respectively. The 168 card diamond was also purchased by Chow Tai Fook jewelry in November 2009 for us $6.28 million.
