The legend of wumeiniang is a TV play produced by Tang De, directed by Gao Yijun and starred by Fan Bingbing, Zhang Fengyi, Li zhiting, Zhang Junning, Zhang Ting, Zhou Haimei, Li Ren and Li Chen.
The play mainly tells the story of Empress Wu's life course from her entrance to the palace at the age of 14 to her final accession to the throne wearing a royal robe and crown, as well as the power struggle.
The play premiered on December 21, 2014 in the Golden Eagle solo theater of Hunan Satellite TV, and on January 14, 2015 in China blue theater of Zhejiang satellite TV.
