What changes have these cinemas gone through

No.1 People's Cinema

The people's cinema was built in early 1940 by the Japanese who were stationed in Shimen (Shijiazhuang) at that time on the south side of Chaoyang Road (now No. 96 Zhongshan West Road). At that time, it was called "Shimen theater". It was mainly used to show Japanese films. It was the only film screening place in the city at that time.

"Shimen theater" is a brick and wood structure facing north and south, which can accommodate about 1000 people. After the liberation of Shimen on November 2, 1947, the theater was taken over by the government and renamed "people's hall". At that time, Zang Boping, vice mayor of the municipal government, personally inscribed the name of the auditorium. In 1956, "people's hall" was renamed "people's cinema" until now.

With the opening of the cultural market, diversified forms of entertainment make the film screening suffer a huge impact. Around 1997, the film began to go downhill, multi hall cinema began to appear, people's cinema because of old facilities, can not keep up with the development of modern film, box office is more and more depressed. In 2006, they began to contact with Hengshui Xisan NeiHua Art Co., Ltd., which came to Shijiazhuang to seek development, and finally reached a cooperation intention and decided to transform the people's cinema into a folk arts and Crafts Museum.

No.2 Dongtian cinema

Dongtian cinema started construction in October 1979, completed on September 28, 1984, and officially opened on October 1 of the same year.

Due to its underground location, warm in winter and cool in summer, and sound-absorbing boards pasted on the walls, the viewing environment was second to none in the whole province at that time. Naturally, Dongtian cinema became the best choice for Shijiazhuang residents to enjoy summer vacation.

Due to various reasons, the cinema was shut down in 2003 and the Dongtian cinema was demolished in 2013.

No.3 Shijiazhuang cinema

Shijiazhuang cinema is the predecessor of yingle palace. As early as the middle and late 1980s, the trend of cinema transformation has been rising. In 1990, Shijiazhuang cinema was transformed into yingle palace and opened in June 1993. Although the construction of yingle palace started late, it was still born at the right time. It was also able to win in the few multi-function studios in the country at that time.

When it was first built, the video music palace covers an area of 5820 square meters, with a construction area of 8300 square meters. It is the largest in North China, with 13 rooms, video hall, song and dance hall, karaoke hall, billiard room, tea house, fast-food restaurant, etc.

On April 29, 2007, Shijiazhuang yingle palace and Wanda cinema line company held a signing ceremony, and yingle palace officially joined Wanda cinema line.

No.4 Yigong

The official name of the palace is "the first workers' Cultural Palace in Shijiazhuang", which was built during the first five-year plan.

The landmark of the Cultural Palace is an office and activity building. At the back of the building, an auditorium was built along the east-west direction of the courtyard wall. The scale and decoration of the auditorium were relatively advanced at that time. Some important political gatherings and performances were often held here. In addition to holding various meetings, the auditorium mainly performed movies and plays. Later, the first palace was expanded, and a special cinema was built in the East Hall. In this way, the first palace has two places to show movies.

In those days, Yigong used to be the main place for people's cultural activities and entertainment. With the development of urban construction, Yigong gradually faded out of people's life and replaced by more parks, squares and street gardens.

In November 2001, the first palace was transformed into people's Square and people's hall. The glory of the palace is only in people's memory.
