At the intersection of Huimin Road on Dalian Road, four Spanish style garden houses with a history of nearly 100 years have been demolished or destroyed due to the surrounding demolition, and the interior is also "scarred." Few people know that these four foreign-style houses were the site of Shanghai Jingwu Sports Association nearly 100 years ago. Some cultural relic protection experts appeal that the relevant departments can make a decision early to protect these distinctive historical buildings. But Yangpu District Cultural Management Department said that there is no protection plan for the building at present. Into the interior, you can see the ground tiles, eaves carved, dark red wood stairs are basically retained the original appearance. On the small balcony in front of the main hall on the second floor, there are two doors, about 2 meters high, inlaid with colored glass wooden frame doors with the style of medieval Gothic church. Walking out of the National Anthem square on Dalian Road and going northward along the wall of Shidong middle school on Jingzhou Road, you can see the four small foreign houses juxtaposed on a piece of demolished ruins. According to Shanghai Yangpu District records and other historical materials, on April 6, 1916, the Jingwu gymnastics club moved into the new club house and renamed it "Shanghai Jingwu Sports Association". In 1917, a charity enthusiast generously funded 30000 yuan to build "Jingwu Park" on the side of the Sports Association as a venue for boxing activities. In 1923, "Jingwu Park" was closed due to lack of economic support, and the lane of "life lane" was built later. With the demolition of "life" in Dalian Road and Huimin Road, there are only four Spanish style garden houses around Dalian Road and Huimin road. Hu Die's former residence is now a folk house.
