A survey of the chilling mysterious caves on the earth

The world's largest man-made cave is the milwaukang mine, which is 525 meters deep and has an entrance diameter of 1200 meters. Now, I'm going to make an inventory of the eight biggest man-made caves in the world. Among them, even some giant holes, as long as human beings are close, will suck you into the bag and die.

(1) Milwaukang mine

Located in the eastern Siberian region of Russia, mirvajra mine is the largest man-made cave in the world, with a depth of 525 meters and an entrance diameter of 1200 meters.

Looking from a distance, it was a vortex on the ground. It is because the hole is so large that a vortex of air flow forms over it.

(2) Kimberley diamond field

Kimberley is located in Cape Province, South Africa, which is the famous diamond capital in the world. It belongs to the central plateau area with an altitude of 1220 meters and a population of about 158000.

It is 1097 meters deep, with an entrance diameter of about 500 meters and an area of 17 hectares. In order to dig such a large hole, more than 22 million tons of soil have been excavated from here. Now it has become a key scenic spot for tourists to see.

(3) Glory hole

Glory hole is the key switch of Monticello dam, which is located in the north of California. The purpose is to discharge the excess water as soon as possible when the storage capacity of Monticello dam reaches the limit.

Data show that when glory hole is fully opened, monticelome's water flow per second can reach 1370 m3 / s.

(4) Bingham Canyon copper mine

Binghan mine, the largest open-pit copper mine in the world, is located in the southwest of Salt Lake City, Binghan Canyon, also known as Binghan Canyon copper mine.

From a distance, it looks like a huge rotating staircase, which leads directly to the ground.

(5) Big blue hole

On the sea surface 60 miles east of Belize City, the capital of Belize in Central America, there is a dark blue round water area, which looks like the pupil of the sea from a high altitude. Looking from an inexplicable depth, it is profound, mysterious and weird.

The shape of the blue hole in Belize is almost perfect, with a diameter of more than 1000 feet (305 meters) and a depth of 400 feet (123 meters).

Big blue hole

In the glacial age, the cave was the entrance of a dry cave system. After the glaciers melted and the sea level rose, the cave was flooded and became a holy place for many brave divers.

(6) Diavik mine

There is a wonderful mine in the northeast of Yellowknife, Canada.

His footprint is so huge that he can even have his own airport runway to accommodate a Boeing 737.

(7) Guatemala City cave

Behind the big hole is the largest ground collapse ever.

On February 23, 2007, a huge cave appeared in Guatemala City. The cave is 100 meters deep and 500 meters around.

(8) Malbury sinkhole

The 185 foot (56 meter) deep sinkhole appeared in Marbury, Florida, in 1994, where the mining company IMC agrico dumped phosphate waste. The company was putting rocks into the mine to extract phosphate.

Phosphate is a kind of chemical substance, which is the main component of chemical fertilizer. It is mainly used to make phosphoric acid and enhance the taste of soda and various foods. However, after the phosphate is extracted from the rock, the waste material mainly composed of gypsum is filtered out as mud.

As layers of plaster are dried, cracks form, like those on a dry mass of mud. Later, the water continued to flow in the cracks, and the underground materials were swept away, thus creating this terrible pit.
