The killer whale stranded off the coast of South Africa is shocked by the contents of its belly afte

According to the daily mail of December 30, a 5.7-meter-long killer whale died after it ran aground in the Gulf of puldenburg in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Zoologists then dissected the body and found that the killer whale's stomach was stuffed with artificial marine debris.

It is reported that the killer whale died in pain after grounding on the beach for some time. Killer whales used to mainly feed on seals, dolphins and other marine mammals, as well as large fish or squid. However, after the killer whale was dissected, biologists were surprised to find that there were only a small amount of normal food residues in its body, but there were a large number of empty acid bottles, food packaging plastic bags, and even shoes and other human made marine garbage.

Dr Gwen penry, an expert in Marine Mammal Research, said the killer whale might be very hungry at the end of its life, or it might be too sick to hunt, so it swallowed a lot of marine garbage in shallow waters.

Experts will test the whale's genes and blood samples to see if it died of illness or poisoning.

The life of animals is very fragile. When people feel that their bodies are not in good time, they can turn to people for help and send them to the hospital in time. However, for wild animals, after they are injured or sick in their own environment, they often can not get treatment, and finally they may die.
