Five ugly chicks picked up by villagers turned out to be monkey faced eagles, a national second-clas

A few days ago, Ms. Cao of Cailing Town, Duchang County, Jiujiang City, picked up five lovely chicks when she went up the mountain to pick tea seeds. The five chicks were identified as monkey faced eagle, a second-class national wildlife protection animal, and have been sent to bird protection organizations for rescue.

On November 6, the reporter contacted Wei Yiling, a villager in Duchang County, who is the daughter-in-law of Ms. Cao who found the chick. She told reporters that her family lived in gangbianshe natural village, Beiyan village, Cailing town. When her mother-in-law went up the mountain to pick tea seeds on the afternoon of November 4, she found five lovely chicks under the tree and brought them home.

After identification, the five nestlings, also known as the Grass Owl, also known as the monkey faced eagle, belong to the national second level protected wild animals.
