Against the sky! Photographers capture sea lions killing sharks

On Wednesday, photographer Slater & middot; Moore captured an incredible picture of a hungry sea lion turning into a predator on a whale watching boat off the coast of California, the daily mail of London reported.

"It's crazy that predators become prey. Nature is amazing!" the photographer told the Huffington Post. When the hungry sea lion is enjoying a shark meal, a bird of prey passes over its head.

Although Slater & bull; Moore said earlier that he had seen pictures of sea lions greedily preying on sharks, he had never seen five different sea lions attacking sharks in one day. Photographer Slater & bull; Moore added: 'the people on the whale watching boat were absolutely stunned that day. The Marine Mammal Center calls California sea lions opportunistic eaters, which feed on squid, octopus, herring, rock fish, mackerel and some small sharks. But in turn, killer whales and great white sharks eat them. Although sharks are not usually predators in the sea, opportunistic sea lions often prey on small sharks.

The sea lion's shark feast is running out. In fact, people on the whale watching boat saw five different kinds of pteropods attacking the little sharks in one day.
