South African photographer captures the spectacle of snake swallowing

According to the daily mail of July 13, a passing photographer captured the amazing scene of snake swallowing in sabison private animal reserve in South Africa.

Sean de la Harpe Parker, a photographer in his 40s, was working on the day when he saw the stunning scene on the tree during his break. A rattan snake (also known as Osprey Clarke) hunted a South Asian rat snake of its size. From hunting to swallowing, the whole process takes less than an hour.

Sean said that at first, the rattan snake quietly ambushed behind the South Asian rat snake, and at the right time, it buried its fangs in the neck of its prey. At first, the agile South Asian pike tried to break free, but due to the venom of the rattan snake was too strong, it soon stopped struggling. The rattan snake enjoyed every meal of its kind.

Sean said he was lucky to see this wonderful fight of the same kind. It was amazing to see a snake swallow the same kind whole!
