In the Ross Sea of Antarctica, Captain John Bennett and the crew were surprised to see a giant squid, weighing 350 kg and 3.5 meters long. This is the legendary giant "sea monster". This is the second giant squid found in Antarctica so far, which is very rare.
Scientists at the University of Auckland in New Zealand dissected the giant squid and found that it had three hearts.
This is a female squid. Her eyes are crystal clear, 35 inches in diameter, and her eight claws are more than one meter long. They have been kept in refrigerated rooms since they were caught last year.
