The upgrading of high-tech products has surprised many people. Windows 8.1 will be available worldwide at 7 a.m. EDT on October 18 (7 p.m. EDT on October 17), Microsoft announced on its official blog late Wednesday.
It is reported that Microsoft will update and push Windows 8 users for free through windows store, and users can also purchase windows 8.1 through retail stores.
Windows 8.1 provides a number of Windows 8 feature improvements, including start button buyback, Windows 8 interface and traditional desktop support using the same wallpaper, further integration of services such as Bing and SkyDrive, startup to desktop mode and support for more screen sizes.
