American and Italian astronauts were forced to suspend their spacewalk plans when their helmets leak

Two American and Italian astronauts left the international space station on the 16th for their second spacewalk this month. But more than an hour after entering space, one of the astronauts' spacesuits and helmets leaked and the spacewalk was stopped. It's amazing that such wonderful things will happen in space walk.

U.S. astronaut Christopher Cassidy and Italian astronaut Luca middot at 7:57 on the 16th of the eastern time (19:57 on the 16th of Beijing time); Palmitano went out for a spacewalk, which was originally planned to last for 6 hours and 15 minutes. But more than an hour later, palmitano reported that there was a leak in his helmet, "there was some water in my eyes, and there was water in my nose.". This is palmitano's second spacewalk. He just became the first man of Italian spacewalk a week ago.

NASA said the leak did not harm palmitano, but decided to end the spacewalk ahead of schedule for safety reasons. Two astronauts have safely returned to the station, and technicians are analyzing the cause of the leak.

According to the original plan, the two astronauts' tasks included preparing for the Russian multi-purpose experimental module, which arrived later this year, and carrying out some maintenance tasks. NASA said none of these tasks are urgent and that when they are completed will be waiting for the arrangement of ground personnel.

The spacewalk lasted 1 hour and 32 minutes, the second shortest in the history of the space station. The shortest spacewalk in the history of the space station took place in 2004, when two astronauts had just left the capsule, one of them had a sharp drop in the air pressure of the oxygen cylinder of the spacesuit, and the whole spacewalk lasted only more than 10 minutes.
