Google announced that it would stop updating the Google chrome frame plug-in this year. The reason is that the usage of the old IE browser is declining.
Many years ago, Google engineers developed the chrome frame embedded framework plug-in to enable users of older versions of IE to use the latest web technology. Nowadays, the market structure of browser has changed a lot. There are fewer and fewer users of old version products, and chrome frame has gradually faded out of people's vision. In view of this, Google recently made a decision to retire the plug-in, and they will no longer support and update it from January 2014. So, for those who are still relying on this product, it's almost time to change their browser.
