At 13:18 on June 13, Beijing time, according to the Beijing Aerospace Command Center, Tiangong-1 and shenzhou-10 successfully achieved automatic rendezvous and docking. This is the fifth successful rendezvous and docking between Tiangong-1 and Shenzhou spacecraft since it was launched into orbit in September 2011.

Under the precise control of scientific and technological personnel, shenzhou-10 spacecraft went through multiple orbit changes and turned into the state of autonomous control at 10:48 on the day, gradually approaching Tiangong-1 in the way of autonomous guidance and control.

After the final confirmation of docking readiness by Beijing aerospace flight control center. Shenzhou 10 began to draw closer to Tiangong 1. At 13:11, shenzhou-10 contacted with Tiangong-1 docking ring. After successfully completing a series of technical actions according to the procedure, the docking mechanism was locked and the two aircraft were connected to form a combination.

During the implementation of automatic rendezvous and docking, astronauts Nie Haisheng, Zhang Xiaoguang and Wang Yaping were on duty in the return capsule of Shenzhou 10. The reporter saw on the large screen of the command Hall of Beijing aerospace flight control center that three astronauts dressed in the spacesuit in the cabin watched closely all kinds of data and docking process on the dashboard of the spaceship with calm expression, conscientiously executed all kinds of command sending operations, and quickly and accurately reported the implementation of rendezvous and docking to the ground through the space communication system.

According to the mission plan, three astronauts will then enter Tiangong-1. Next, they will stay in space for more than ten days and carry out relevant space science and technology experiments.
