Cultivation method of Campanula (experience): introduction from seedling raising to cultivation mana

Campanula, whose flowers are fresh and elegant, is a very popular flower plant in Europe. People often use it to express health, tenderness and loveliness. What is the cultivation method of this delicate and elegant Campanula herb? Let's take a look at the cultivation experience of senior flower friend!

Cultivation methods of Campanula (experience) seedling management of Campanula: Plug Seedling Stage 1: radicle germination stage

Seeds can germinate 14 to 18 days after sowing, with daily temperature of 20 ℃ to 22 ℃ and night temperature of 16 ℃. The soluble salt content in the matrix was low, and the pH value was between 5.5 and 6.2. The seeds need not be covered after sowing. Keep the soil slightly moist but not excessively moist. After sowing, avoid direct sunlight and shade properly. Alternate temperature changes can stimulate seed germination, and light supplement after germination can promote plant growth and flowering.

Stage 2: cotyledon emergence and growth stage. From this stage, soil moisture should be reduced properly, but not too dry. The EC Value of culture medium should not be higher than 0.5. It is better to start spraying fertilizer with 50ppm balanced nitrogen fertilizer.

Stage 3 and 4: true leaf growth, development and seedling refining

During these two stages, the fertilizer concentration can be increased to 150 ppm to 200 ppm.

Cultivation and management of Campanula: 1. Transplanting: 6 to 8 weeks after germination, it can be transplanted in a flowerpot about 9 to 11 cm in diameter. Don't plant too deep when transplanting.

2. Substrate: the substrate should be well drained, with clay content of 20% to 30%, and 1 to 1.5 kg of fully balanced fertilizer per cubic meter of substrate. The matrix should contain iron chelates and micronutrients with a pH of 5.5 to 6.2.

3. Light: long sunshine plant.

Cultivation method 1: in spring, the plants begin to grow for 2 weeks under the condition of short sunshine. At this time, it needs 10 to 12 hours of supplementary light, 20 to 30 watts per square meter. When the plant grows to the ideal height, in order to promote the plant flowering, the sunshine time can be extended for 16 to 18 hours. At night, the light should be interrupted.

Cultivation method 2: first of all, in the first three weeks of cultivation, in order to make the plant grow, the plant should be placed in the condition of short sunshine, at the same time, light supplement for 10 to 12 hours, 20 to 30 watts per square meter. When the plant grows to the ideal height, in order to make the plant blossom, the sunshine time can be extended for 16 to 18 hours. At night, the light should be interrupted.

4. Temperature: the suitable temperature for growth is 13 ℃ to 18 ℃. The indoor or outdoor temperature can be maintained at 3 ℃ to 5 ℃ without frost in winter. Outdoor cultivation should be covered. In spring, the plants began to grow at 15 ℃ to 18 ℃ for 5 to 9 weeks. The cultivation time would be prolonged under the cold temperature of 13 ℃ to 15 ℃. There is no need for vernalization for flowering.

5. Fertilizer: the plant needs medium amount of fertilizer. Nitrogen and potassium balanced fertilizers (n: K2O ratio 1:1.5) were applied alternately from 150ppm to 200ppm per week. Too high content of ammonium and nitrogen should be avoided. Do not apply fertilizer after the middle of September. In order to prevent the deficiency of magnesium and iron, 0.025% magnesium sulfide and iron chelate can be sprayed once or twice respectively.

6. It is suggested that fungicides should be sprayed to prevent the propagation of Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia and Pythium. When the flowers of Campanula are 10 to 15, they can be sold. At this stage, the plants are easy to transport.
