Bachelor's degree is originally a title reflecting the professional knowledge level of professionals. But out of the admiration for some ornamental plants, people often give the nickname of "Bachelor".
Such as flowers, there are several "Eighteen Bachelor" called. According to the records of ancient books, there are only 20 or 30 species of trees used for bonsai in China, including "18 scholars". Eighteen scholars refer to 18 kinds of ornamental plants. They are: plum blossom, peach blossom, azalea, pomegranate, camellia, Chimonanthus praecox, Podocarpus arvensis, Gardenia jasminoides, nandianzhu, Cuibai, June snow, Lagerstroemia indica, Xifu Begonia, huci, medlar, papaya, jiqingguo, Fengwei bamboo. Their characters are basically the same, can coordinate with each other, will not appear red and green, at the same time made into bonsai, can be changeable, rich and colorful.
Camellia
Manjusri, known as "Eighteen scholars", is a large grass flower of Lycoris family. Natural and unrestrained, the flowers are flawless. It has 18-20 white flowers on each stem, most of them are 18, so it is called 18 bachelor. Eighteen bachelor camellia, which is a treasure of Camellia, is deeply loved by people. It has beautiful tree shape and peculiar flower structure. It is composed of more than 70 ~ 130 petals with hexagonal and tower shaped corolla. It is well arranged and beautiful. Two adjacent petals arranged about 20 rounds, mostly 18 rounds, so it is called "Eighteen Bachelor". Its common colors are vermilion, scarlet, pink and all white.
Crinum sinensis
