Next, I'll teach you how to breed meat, which is the easiest to survive.

Succulent plants

The most common propagation methods of succulent plants are sowing, cutting, grafting, ramet and so on.

1. Sowing: in succulent plants, except for a few species that can self pollinate, most of them belong to Entomophilic flowers or bird pollinated flowers, so artificial pollination must be used in order to bear fruit. (= = =) the tragic red dragon fruit, Epiphyllum is also.

The life span of a plant seed is as short as a few weeks. The seed germination rate of succulent plants decreases rapidly when stored at room temperature for one year. For this reason, many succulent plants wait for their seeds to be harvested and sown or stored in the next spring.

2. Cutting: This is the most common propagation method of succulent plants, including leaf cutting, stem cutting and root cutting.

For leaf cuttings, thick leaves are often used to place on slightly wet sand bed or loose soil surface, and they will take root soon. Adventitious buds will sprout at the base of leaves and form small plants, such as tianzhang, shihlianhua and Daye.

In the process of reproduction of succulent plants, stem cutting is combined with pruning and shaping, cutting branches and segments as cuttings, such as desert rose, zilongjiao, hucimei, caiyunge, etc. Desert roses, African overlord trees, green peaks, etc. with white milk flowing from the cut section must be treated with Qianjing, and then cuttings can be done after a little drying.

The roots of rare varieties such as root cuttings and green jade fans are very strong and developed. The mature fleshy roots are cut off and buried in the sand bed. The upper part of the roots is slightly exposed to keep a certain amount of moisture and bright light. New buds can sprout from the top of the roots to form complete plantlets.

3. Grafting: in succulent plants, grafting is often used to propagate variegated varieties. For example, Bawangbian is used as Rootstock to graft Chunfeng; magalan is used as Rootstock to graft Yale dance; bawangshu is used as Rootstock to graft bawangshu; rhinoceros rhinoceros horn is used as Rootstock to graft zilongjiao, etc., which has good ornamental effect. But in the process of grafting, because the plant contains white emulsion, the viscosity is large. Therefore, grafting operation should be fast and skillful in order to achieve success.

4. Ramet: ramet is the easiest and safest way to propagate succulent plants. As long as the succulent plants with rosette or cluster shape can propagate separately through their buds, stems, bulbs, tubers and plantlets, which can be carried out when changing pots in spring. Of course, in succulent plants, varieties with brocade, such as tiger tail orchid in Phnom Penh, Princess Leishen brocade, never night city brocade and green jade fan brocade, must be propagated by branching to keep their purity.
