Rubber tree, also known as Hevea brasiliensis (Willd. Ex A. Juss.) Muell. Arg. A large tree of Euphorbiaceae and genus Hevea. The trunk of rubber tree is obvious with few branches and air roots. It has long oval leaves, thick leathery, bright green, parallel lateral veins, red young leaves and thick petioles. It is a famous potted foliage plant with high ornamental value.
