1. Preparation before planting

Soil preparation: if the soil is dug back from the flower bed or field, the first step is to sift and crush the large particles. Then the soil is disinfected in three ways. The faster way is to pack the soil, find an abandoned pot, steam for 30 minutes, and the high temperature will remove the pathogens from the soil. Spreading the soil into a thin layer and drying it for 5 to 10 days can also achieve disinfection effect. If you are not in a hurry, you can wait for the summer to wet the soil and seal it, and then dry it in the sun. In this way, the temperature in the soil is particularly high, and the microorganisms can be killed. Finally, the soil is mixed with fertilizer in a certain proportion. Mixed organic fertilizer must be fermented and decomposed, and chemical fertilizer should be used as little as possible.

In the seedling stage, the seeds were first disinfected. The seeds were soaked in 55 ℃ warm water for 15 to 20 minutes and stirred continuously. The water volume was about 5 times of the seed volume. After cooling to 28 degrees, maintain at this temperature and soak for 12 to 24 hours, changing water once or twice. Secondly, the germinating is accelerated. The sterilized seeds are drained, wrapped on a wet towel, and placed in an environment of 28 to 30 degrees. Once a day, the seeds can germinate.

2. Planting

Dig a 1 cm deep hole in the soil, put the germinated seeds in, cover it with 0.5-1 cm loose soil, and maintain the temperature at about 25 ℃. This soil is best watered down the day before. Water the soil before the arch to keep the soil moist. In three to four days, two cotyledons of the seed will come out of the soil. Then the temperature remained unchanged during the day and dropped to about 20 ℃ at night, when the number of leaves increased to four or five. After watering, we need to "see the dry see wet", that is to say, after the soil is dry, we should water it thoroughly. After watering each time, a small hook can be used to loosen the soil about 5cm deep in the soil.

3. Transplanting

After the seedlings grow 4-5 leaves, they can be transplanted. Dig out the seedling with soil from the original small pot, dig a hole in the big flowerpot, put the whole small soil lump in, and pour water through. Transplanting can make the seedlings grow again after cutting off their roots. In this way, the growth of crops will be better. In principle, after transplanting, do not water or topdressing, but also according to the actual situation. If the soil is too dry, it should be supplemented appropriately.

4. Blossom and bear fruit

About 15 days after transplanting, tomato seedlings began to grow in large pots. After the plants begin to blossom and fruit set, water and topdressing are applied, and then every 7 to 10 days, the soil is loosened. The temperature is maintained between 25 and 30 degrees during the day and 15 to 20 degrees at night. Equal to about 40 cm, need to make a scaffold, let the plant climb the scaffold to continue to grow, to prevent lodging. Pay attention to the bracket must follow the original growth direction, do not twist.

Tomato is a hermaphroditic flower. It is usually self pollinated. You can also tap the plant with a bamboo pole to promote pollination. In addition, when the branch length of the plant reaches about 10 cm, the branch should be broken in time to prevent the side branch from growing rapidly and affecting the growth of the fruit.

5. Selection of containers

What is a good container? Containers are generally made of local materials and can be used as long as there is a water outlet. However, it is recommended to use clay with good air permeability. In addition, choose the size of the container according to the type of vegetables. Generally speaking, the diameter and depth of fruit and vegetable flowerpots are more than 30 cm; the diameter of flowerpots of leafy vegetables is 15 cm to 20 cm, and the depth is more than 20 cm.

6. Pest control

In general, no diseases and insect pests will occur in family planting. Usually pay attention to the control of humidity, not too high, watering appropriate amount. If insects appear on the plants, they can be regularly sprayed with soapy water or cut tobacco for 15 days; rotten fruits and leaves should be removed in time.

It takes about three months from sowing to harvesting. After 90 days, you can taste your own small tomatoes
