How to manage fertilization for changchunteng

Ivy, also known as Chinese ivy, is an evergreen vine of Acanthopanax family. Ivy is a very popular indoor potted plant which is often planted in the courtyard. It is a new generation of indoor foliage plants with beautiful and regular plant shape. It can purify indoor air, absorb benzene, formaldehyde and other harmful gases emitted by furniture and decoration, and bring great benefits to human health. Because its leaves are beautiful and evergreen all the year round, the effect of beautifying the environment is better, so many people like it. Ivy is not delicate, and its maintenance is relatively simple. Today, I would like to share with you the management methods of ivy, how to apply fertilizer, what fertilizer and so on?

1. Environmental and soil requirements

The cultivation and management of ivy is simple and extensive, with strong adaptability and no special requirements for environmental conditions. However, it should be planted in a place with moist soil and air circulation. Ivy is a typical shade vine flowers and trees, can not be directly exposed to strong light, can withstand humidity, drought, poor tolerance, in fertile and humid sandy soil, good growth, avoid alkaline soil.

2. The temperature should be appropriate

Ivy likes warm, suitable temperature for growth is 20 ℃ - 25 ℃, afraid of hot, not cold resistant. Therefore, in the indoor maintenance, attention should be paid to ventilation and cooling in summer. In winter, the room temperature should be kept above 10 ℃ and at least not lower than 5 ℃.

3. The light should be moderate

Ivy avoid direct sunlight, but like enough light, more cold resistant, strong resistance, also more resistant to shade, put in the semi light condition, the internode is shorter, the leaf shape is consistent, the leaf color is bright, so it is suitable to put indoor cultivation in bright light. If in the spring and autumn, choose a period of time to put outdoor shade, so that it will see more sunshine in the morning and evening, then the vitality is exuberant, the leaves are green and colorful. But attention should be paid to prevent direct sunlight, otherwise it is easy to cause sunburn.

4. Water moderately

In the growing season, watering should be dry and wet, and the basin soil should not be too wet, otherwise it is easy to cause rotten roots and fallen leaves. In winter, the room temperature is low, especially the watering should be controlled to keep the basin soil slightly wet. Because of the dry climate in winter in North China, it is better to spray and wash duchuan once a week with water close to room temperature to keep the air humidity

5. Fertilization should be reasonable

For the cultivation of ivy at home, the pot soil should be made of rotten leaves of Sichuan or carbon soil plus 1 / 4 river sand and a small amount of bone meal. In the growing season, thin pancake fertilizer and water should be applied once every 2-3 weeks. Generally, do not apply fertilizer in summer and winter. When applying fertilizer, we should avoid partial application of nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise, the patterns and patches on the leaf surface of flower leaf varieties will fade to green. The ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is 1; 1; 1. Spraying 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution on the leaves once or twice in the growing season will make the leaf color more beautiful. However, attention should be paid to avoid contaminating the leaves when applying liquid fertilizer, so as not to cause the leaves to wither.
