Breeding method of Bambusa balsamina: water and temperature should be well controlled in winter

Phoenix Tail Bamboo is a kind of Acanthus in Gramineae. It has green stalks, short plant type, dense green leaves, natural and unrestrained charm, and looks like phoenix tail. The overall view is very consistent with the concept of "thin is beautiful" of Chinese people, which is deeply loved by people. The following is an introduction to some cultivation methods of Phoenix Tail Bamboo.

The cultivation method of potted Bambusa in gardens is often based on transplanting mother bamboos (planting in separate bags), and can also be propagated by burying bags, culms and knots.

1. Time: the cultivation is suitable for March, when the germination rate of female bamboo is high and it is easy to survive;

2. Select the mother plant: select the mother plant with strong growth, no disease and pest, large stem bud and developed fibrous root, the best age of bamboo is from one year to two years;

3. Treatment of mother plant: plant in time. If long-distance transportation is needed, first place it in a cool and windy place for watering and moisturizing. Properly handle it during packaging to prevent damage to root eyes and vibration of soil;

4. Planting method: apply enough basal fertilizer before planting to ensure adequate nutrition. Select the acid, slightly acid or neutral soft fine soil, first fill it at the bottom of the hole, then apply the mature manure, mix it with the surface soil, put down the mother bamboo, cover the soil layer by layer and press the lining, and the cover soil is slightly 2cm ~ 3cm deeper than the original soil of the mother bamboo;

5. Watering after planting: after planting, sufficient root water shall be poured, and it shall be fully poured for the first time. After that, the amount of water shall be reduced appropriately, and it can be dried when it is wet. Watering requirements for the maintenance method of fengtailed bamboo: fengtailed bamboo likes to be wet. If the basin soil is short of water, the bamboo leaves will curl, so it's time to water, and the bamboo leaves will unfold after watering. Generally, water once every 1-2 days in summer and less in winter, but keep the basin soil moist to prevent "dry freezing".

Fertilization requirements: during the growth period of bamboos, liquid fertilizer is applied once every 20 days or so. Organic fertilizer is the main one, which can be used as bean cake water or compound liquid fertilizer. In winter, fertilization should be stopped.

Environmental requirements: the Phoenix Tail Bamboo likes a cool environment. It should be moved to a cool place in summer to avoid sun exposure. The bamboo is not cold resistant. It needs to be placed indoors in winter to control the water content and keep the indoor temperature above 10 ℃.

How to change the basin: the bamboo is usually changed once every 2 years. The potted culture soil was composed of 1 part of rotten leaf soil, 0.5 part of garden soil, and a small amount of river sand and rice husk ash. Avoid heavy and alkaline soil.

Pruning principle: the bonsai of Bambusa balsamina pays attention to posture and verve. The branches must be vertical, dense, and uneven. During the period of vigorous growth, there will be too many stalks, which will affect the overall ornamental effect of bonsai.

Precautions for the cultivation of Bambusa balsamina leaves: 1. Bambusa balsamina is afraid of ponding. In addition to the first time of watering, only keep the basin soil moist after that, otherwise, it is easy to rot, whip and rot.

2. When the growth of bamboos is vigorous, small shoots are produced continuously, and there are many branches. In order to maintain the growth balance and beautiful plant shape, the old branches and unnecessary twigs and leaves should be cut off in time.

3. In case of leaf blight and rust, 65% zineb WP 2000 times can be used to control the rust; in case of scale insect and aphid damage, 40% Omethoate emulsion 1500 times can be used to spray.
