How to cultivate Jasmine: big water, big fertilizer and high temperature

"What a beautiful jasmine", because the first popular "Jasmine", people began to pay attention to the white fragrant jasmine, and began to breed at home. So how is this beautiful jasmine cultivated? Let's read on to find out~

How to cultivate Jasmine in pot culture method: Jasmine in pot culture is good in spring, summer and autumn, and the bad season is winter. The cultivation method of jasmine in pot culture can be summarized by the eight character policy: big water, big fertilizer and high temperature exposure, as follows:

1. Dashui: Jasmine has shallow roots, developed fibrous roots, luxuriant branches and leaves, high temperature and large evaporation in summer. In addition, it is not drought resistant, so the soil cannot be too dry, but it should not be muddy. Basin with the best soil basin, plastic basin, porcelain basin poor ventilation, can be used as a set basin. The premise of large water is that the soil has good aggregate structure and is loose and permeable. The principle of large-scale water irrigation is to dry and wet, dry and thoroughly. Note that drying through is never dry scorching.

2. Big fertilizer: Jasmine has a long growth cycle, a large annual growth and repeated branches and flowers. It consumes fast nutrition and has more energy demand. If it can't keep up with the fertilizer, it will grow thin and have less branches, leaves and flowers. The premise of large-scale fertilizer is mainly mature organic fertilizer, which is very important, such as rapeseed cake water (topdressing), poultry and fish viscera water (topdressing), supplemented by chemical fertilizer such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate. The method of fertilization is to apply fertilizer in the evening on a sunny day during the growth period, return water in the morning of the next day (crucial), once a week during the growth period.

3. High temperature sun exposure: jasmine is very fond of sunshine, never over shading. Under the premise of ensuring water content, full sunshine is the best. When the sun is sufficient, there are many branches, leaves and flowers. When the sun is low, there are thin leaves, thin flowers and thin branches. In addition, before spring germination and after each batch of flowers should be properly pruned to ensure that the branches are properly dense, nutrition is concentrated and invalid consumption is reduced.

Supplement: problems of supporting and strengthening during maintenance. Five years after the growth of jasmine, the main branches will age, the upper branches will be thin and the flowers will be small. During this period, special attention should be paid to the soil growing branches on the multi medium, which are strong in growth and properly guided to the old main branches that need to be renewed. After one year's growth, the old branches can be replaced, and the old branches can be cut off on the same soil surface, so as to achieve the purpose of main branch renewal and strong in vigor.

The main insect pests during the growth of Jasmine are jasmine leaf borer, cotton spider, chaff scale insect and so on.

1: Jasmine leaf borer: one of the main pests of jasmine. It feeds on the leaves, flower buds, twigs and new shoots of jasmine with larvae. The twig skin withered after being eaten, and the seedlings died after being damaged, which seriously affected the growth and flowering of jasmine flowers.

Control methods: (1) in winter or early spring, the dead branches and leaves on the ground shall be removed and burned intensively; ⑧ the leaves shall be thinned properly to facilitate ventilation; the eggs, larvae and pupae on the leaves shall be captured and killed manually in time. (2) During the growth period of jasmine, it can be sprayed with 6000 times of 50% trichlorfon wettable powder, which has a good control effect.

2. Cotton spider: it can harm many flowers and many greenhouse plants. Jasmine is one of the common damaged flowers. The leaves of the injured flowers are yellow and white spots at first, and then gradually turn red and spread to the whole leaves, causing leaf curl, withering and falling off, rapid propagation and development, serious harm, affecting the growth and flowering of flowers and trees.

Control method: during the occurrence period of red spider, 40% of three chlorochloe alcohol emulsion 1500-2000 times liquid (or 50% three chlorosalvanum wettable powder 1500-2000 times liquid or 40% Omethoate 1000-1500 times liquid) was used to prevent and control spraying. 1 times every 7 days, spraying 2-3 times, the effect was better. When spraying, spray on the back of the leaves, and pay attention to spraying the inner branches and leaves of the middle and lower parts of the plant.

3. Scale insects of bran: they occur for several generations between April and October. They can crawl at the young and nymph stages. The adults wear waxy shells and can not absorb sap.

Control method: spray the contact killing agent such as dipivoxil in the young stage and nymph stage, and kill the adult with wax shell by inhaling drugs such as Omethoate and No.20 oil emulsion which can dissolve wax shell.
