Planting method of strawberry seeds: spray water through the seedling substrate before sowing

Another year, when the strawberries are ripe. Strawberry, a sour, sweet, appetizing and delicious fruit. It is rich in nutrition, so it has the reputation of "fruit Queen". Today we are going to learn the planting method of strawberry seeds. I hope flower friends can learn the strawberry planting method from it.

Strawberry breeding method strawberry seed planting steps: 1. Germination: generally, strawberry seeds can be stored for about 2 years at room temperature. In order to improve the seed germination rate, the seeds can be wrapped in gauze before sowing, soaked for 24 hours, treated at low temperature of 0 ℃ ~ 3 ℃ in the refrigerator for about 15 days, so as to break the dormancy of the seeds, and then sowed. The germination rate is high. Impatient friends can directly use the following method to promote germination of seeds without freezing treatment, but without breaking dormancy at low temperature, the bud rate may be reduced.

The method is as follows: first, soak the seeds in warm water at 50 ~ 60 ℃, and stir them continuously until the water temperature drops to about 25 ℃. After soaking for 2 ~ 3 hours, take it out and gently rub it with your hands until the seed coat is clean and shiny. Then rinse it with clean water and cover it with several layers of wet yarn cloth. Put it at 25 ~ 30 ℃ for germination. Soak the gauze with warm water three times a day (morning, afternoon and evening) to maintain the moist environment of seeds. When 60 ~ 70% of the seeds are white, they can be sown.

2. Sowing: Strawberry seeds are small and must be fine when sowing. It's best to use seedling soil and seedling tray, or seedling block and seedling box. If you really don't have the conditions, you can mix some fine humus soil with screened fine sandy loam to fill the flower pot and sow in the pot.

It is worth noting that, first, spray water through the seedling substrate before sowing. Friends who directly use potted plants can put the height of the basin soil one centimeter lower than the upper edge of the flowerpot, and spread the seeds evenly. After sowing, cover it with about 0.1 centimeter of screened fine soil, or do not cover it. As long as your seedling substrate is soft enough, cover the basin with plastic film to keep the soil moist. At the temperature of 25 ℃, seedlings can start to emerge 15-25 days after sowing( Strawberry seeds sprout slowly and have patience to wait). When the seedlings grow 2 real leaves, divide the pots. When there are 3 ~ 5 leaves, they can be planted in the ground.

Precautions for flowering and planting strawberries: 1. Seedling management

1) Watering: the seedling stage is not suitable for flood irrigation, and sprinkler irrigation can be used to meet the water supply. After the seedlings grow to 6 true leaves, small water flooding can be used to prevent silting seedlings.

2) Weeding: weeds should be pulled out frequently and timely during the seedling stage.

3) Make up seedlings with the same seedling: when the seedlings grow 3 ~ 5 true leaves, they can be transplanted, dense and sparse.

4) Topdressing: when the seedlings grow to 6 true leaves, the first topdressing can be carried out, and it is appropriate to topdressing, flushing fertilization or urea.

Garden planting friends generally spread fertilizer with water; Potted friends can make dilute fertilizer by dissolving urea in water. The amount of topdressing for the first time should be less. After that, apply fertilizer every 20 ~ 30 days. With the growth of seedlings, the amount of fertilizer can be increased appropriately.

2. Transplanting

After the seedlings grow for 3 ~ 4 months, they can be raised and transplanted, and the plant row spacing shall be controlled at 20 ~ 30 cm. The transplanting time should be from the end of July to the middle of August. The next spring results.

Strawberry cultivation has a three-year cycle. Only a few strawberries can be harvested in the first year, and a lot will be harvested in the second year. However, in the third year or after three years, the yield of strawberries will decline significantly, and the plants need to be replaced. Therefore, reasonable arrangement and cultivation of new plants to ensure that some strawberries are born in the second year every year can obtain the greatest economic benefits.

When the strawberry grows well, it will give birth to a vine, and new small plants will be born at the end of the vine. When the small plant grows to 3-4 leaves, you can cut it off and plant it in another flower pot. Pay attention to watering. It's best not to let the new plant born in the first year bear strawberries, just let it grow more leaves. So when you find new strawberries in a year, pick them off. At the same time, don't forget to hang a small sign on the plant and write the planting date of the new column, so as not to forget in the future. Remove other excess vines from the new plant. If strawberries are planted in the yard, pay attention to weeding. When watering, be careful not to wet the strawberries.

3. Strawberry care

If you have a greenhouse at home, you can move strawberries to the greenhouse, which will be better. Strawberries also bear fruit more easily. After the strawberry fruiting period, you can remove them from the greenhouse and put them outdoors for the winter. In a way, if strawberry plants suffer some frost, it will be more conducive to increase yield in the coming year.

Strawberries are easy to grow and can be transplanted. Sometimes you may find that the plant has yellow leaves, but don't worry, just remove it. In winter, you can keep the yellow leaves until new leaves grow in the next spring, then remove the dead yellow leaves, and pay attention to watering, weeding and pest control.

Strawberries can also be planted in plant bags, but they must be watered evenly to prevent birds from pecking strawberries and pests. The soil in the plant bag is easy to dry. It needs to be checked frequently to ensure that the soil is wet.
