Planting method of Lycoris: like warm and humid environment, avoid exposure to the sun

Lycoris chinensis is one of the Four Heavenly Flowers in Buddhism. Flowers open without leaves, leaves without flowers; Read and cherish each other, but can't meet each other, alone on the other side of the road. This is because the Lycoris flower is only red when it blooms. What is the planting method of such a special Lycoris flower? Let's go and have a look~

Planting method of Lycoris chinensis: Generally speaking, it is OK to plant Lycoris chinensis in spring (April May) and after flower (Autumn).

First of all, we need to understand the changes of four seasons of Lycoris. Spring is a bulb, leaves grow in summer, stand up and bloom in autumn, and leaves slowly retreat in winter.

Light: Lycoris flower likes scattered light and does not like strong light, so the light should not be too strong. Flower friends must consider this when choosing the planting place. They can maintain it in beiyangtai or in a relatively shady place.

Soil: Lycoris has very low requirements for soil. Even garden land planting in Beijing can grow well, but it is a southern flower after all, so the soil should be acidic, Sandy and permeable.

Watering: keep the soil moist, but do not accumulate water. Watering should not be too much, otherwise its roots will rot. An appropriate amount of water must be supplied from 20 days before flowering to flowering period, so as to achieve neat and consistent flowering and easy maintenance of flowers.

Temperature: most Lycoris varieties like warm climate. The maximum temperature is no more than 30 ℃, and the average temperature is 24 ℃, which is suitable for the growth of Lycoris. The daily average temperature in winter is more than 8 ℃, and the minimum temperature is 1 ℃, which does not affect the growth of Lycoris.

Post flowering treatment: the scape of Lycoris should be cut off after flowering to reduce the loss of nutrients.

Depth: the planting depth should not be too deep, and it is better to just bury the bulb top into the soil surface.

Peel off the small bulbs around the main ball for reproduction. Trim the residual root of the main ball, dry it for two days, and plant it after the wound is dry. When covering the soil, the top of the ball shall be exposed to the soil surface. The potting plant is a large ball (with a diameter of more than 7 cm) that can bloom for 3 years. It can be potted with one ball or 3 ~ 4 balls. Shallow planting shall be conducted so that 1 / 3-1 / 2 of the ball is on the soil surface. Water the basin once to make the soil slightly wet. Water after new leaves are sent out. Apply liquid fertilizer once every half a month. When the leaves thicken and mature in autumn, watering can be stopped.

After budding in 2 ~ 3 months, turn the basin or replace the basin soil. The culture soil can be prepared by mixing 2 parts of peat, 2 parts of garden soil and 1 part of perlite, and a small amount of base fertilizer is added at the same time.
