How to deal with the withered tip of iris: caused by low humidity or high temperature

There may be a lot of iris raised flower friends have encountered such a situation - the tip of the leaf is dry, but because of lack of experience, it is difficult to find the reason, urgent turn around. In this paper, we collected some opinions and control experiences of some senior flower friends on the tip dryness of iris, and shared them with them for investigation.

The tip of iris is dry

How to deal with the withered tip of iris? The withered tip of iris in Brazil is mainly caused by low humidity or high temperature, which is basically the same as the withered tip of Dracaena Dracaena, Phyllostachys praecox and other plants. These plants are tropical plants. Although they can be raised in the north, it is difficult to achieve the best state because of the differences in the environment.

Here are the reasons why iris leaf tip withers, which are summarized by the flower friends based on their experience:

1) The air is too dry, especially in the north.

2) Although the temperature is too high, iris brasiliensis is a tropical plant, but in most parts of China, under the sun, it is easy to dry the leaf tip, so it is recommended to shade properly in summer.

3) If the color of the leaves is normal and only the tip of the leaves is yellow, it is not caused by fertilizer deficiency.

The withered leaf tip of iris brasiliensis is not fatal. Just like the withered and yellow leaf tip of Chlorophytum, it only affects the appearance, so you don't have to be too nervous.

How to do iris leaf tip dry

Cultivation and fertilization of iris

The chemical fertilizers commonly used in greenhouse iris include potassium dihydrogen nitrate, compound fertilizer and some special flower fertilizers for orchid. The method of application is to add water to 2000 times diluent and then spray it manually or into automatic sprinkler system. According to the different growth stages of iris, the chemical fertilizer composition should be different. The ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is 20:20:20; The ratio of big seedling and flowering plant is 7:11:27. The interval of fertilization should be 7 to 10 days.

temperature

The temperature is the most important factor after iris planting. The temperature is above 5 ℃, the highest temperature is about 20 ℃, and the most suitable temperature is about 17 ℃.

humidity

The ideal relative temperature is about 75%, and attention should be paid to avoid large amplitude change or gradual change of humidity. In warm sunny, shady or humid weather, the relative humidity is often higher. Corresponding measures must be taken to reduce the humidity by heating and ventilation at the same time.

shade

Shading can control the temperature, humidity and light in the greenhouse. In the month of strong light, the temperature of greenhouse and open field is too high (above 25 ℃), in this case, shading and ventilation can inhibit the decline of cut flower quality.

Post anthesis treatment

After the flower withers, the flower stem can be cut off from the base. When the substrate is aged, it should be replaced in time.
