Compared with the fourth generation iPad, the new iPad is thinner and lighter in design, and will adopt the same narrow edge design as the ipad Mini, the source said.
The fifth generation iPad screen will be provided by LG display and sharp, and the assembly work will be done by Taiwan display manufacturer TPK, the source said. The indium tin oxide (ITO) coating film on the screen will be provided by Nitto denko and Teijin.
