Life mistake: don't wash raw meat with tap, easy to spread bacteria

In our daily life, we often make some common sense mistakes. For example, we think that it will be healthier to wash the raw meat under the tap before cooking, but this is not the case.

I believe we all have the habit of washing the raw meat with a tap before cooking, which makes us feel more comfortable. But it's wrong to wash raw meat with a tap. It's not only not clean, but also can get bacteria everywhere.

Recently, the Ministry of health of Victoria, Australia, warned on its official website that raw meat should not be washed under the tap after it is bought. If you use a tap to wash raw meat, not only can you not wash it clean, but the splashing water around can also make bacteria infect the kitchen, such as sink, chopping board, cooking table & hellip; & hellip; as long as the splashing water may reach the place, the bacteria may spread in the past. If you wash the fruit and other raw food next time, it may pollute bacteria and cause food safety hazards. It is suggested that raw meat should not be washed under the tap, but can be washed in a fixed basin, and then dipped or drained with kitchen paper towel.

Raw or undercooked meat should not be eaten directly

The raw meat just slaughtered is relatively clean with less bacteria, but there may be meat parasites, such as Taenia solium and Taenia saginata. People infected with parasites will have abdominal distension, diarrhea, dyspepsia and other symptoms.

Take Taenia solium as an example, it not only damages the intestines, but also damages the whole body when the larvae enter the blood, causes epilepsy when they enter the brain, and causes blindness when they enter the eyes.

At the same time, with the storage and transportation, raw meat will gradually produce a large number of bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Acetobacter, Pseudomonas, etc. So that people have diarrhea, fever, enteritis and other symptoms. Parasites and bacteria in raw meat can do great harm to human health. Fortunately, they can be eliminated by heating them with high temperature.

Therefore, from a safety point of view, in addition to organic meat, or meat with a special understanding of its source, it must be thoroughly cooked before eating.

In addition, don't thaw the frozen meat on the table because the bacteria in the raw meat will spread quickly at room temperature. The best way is to thaw in the refrigerator, cold water, or microwave.
