It's better not to refrigerate fresh bananas

Fresh bananas are best left out of the refrigerator. We always like to put what we buy in the fridge to extend the storage period, but some foods can't be put in the fridge, which will shorten the shelf life.

If refrigerators are the same household appliances that change people's lives, it's not too much. With it, we don't have to worry about food deterioration. Especially in summer, it's more like insuring our 'food reserves'. Indeed, the existence of refrigerators has greatly extended the shelf life of food, but is it really a universal safe? In fact, it is not.

Refrigerator is to reduce the speed of various chemical reactions in food through artificial low temperature environment, which is conducive to the preservation of food quality. In daily life, frequent opening and closing of the refrigerator door can cause the temperature in the refrigerator to rise, and the bacteria in the food will grow, and the refrigerator will also produce a kind of bacteria - "psychrophilic bacteria", which pollutes the food. This kind of fungus can grow in the environment of 0 ℃ - 4 ℃, hide in meat products, dairy products, vegetables, salads, seafood and other kinds of food, and breed the fastest at 4 ℃ - 6 ℃, which is the temperature of the refrigerator. Therefore, refrigerators should be cleaned and disinfected regularly, especially in summer.

It is worth noting that not all food is suitable for storage in the refrigerator. Some foods in the refrigerator, on the contrary, will shorten the shelf life; some foods do not put in the refrigerator, can also be long-term preservation. In order to save the space of refrigerator, reduce the power consumption and ensure the quality of food. For biscuits, sweets, honey, pickles, mayonnaise, preserved fruits, powdered food, dried food, etc., there is no need to put them in the refrigerator. Either they have very low water content, and microorganisms cannot reproduce; or they have too high concentration of sugar and salt, and little free water, and microorganisms cannot reproduce. At the same time, tropical fruits such as mango and banana are suitable for preservation at about 12 ℃, and can be stored in a cool place at room temperature. If it is put into the refrigerator, it will make them suffer cold damage and deteriorate in advance.
