Baby's "rotten ass" is a sign of zinc deficiency

The baby started a little 'rotten ass' a month ago, but now most of his back and toes are peeling. Go to the hospital and find out that it was zinc deficiency.

A month ago, the baby had a bit of diarrhea, and soon after that, the little butt began to peel and become 'rotten butt'. Unexpectedly, peeling becomes more and more intense, and erythema, rash and erosion appear everywhere. The mother took the baby to the hospital for treatment. The baby suffered from 'acrodermatitis enteropathica'. This disease is caused by diarrhea or zinc deficiency in breast milk, which is rarely seen in clinic, mainly in infancy.

Doctors say the skin condition usually improves quickly after treatment for diarrhea and zinc supplements. However, this disease is a long-term consumptive disease, which will cause organ dysfunction.

Other manifestations of zinc deficiency in infants

It is easy to cause hyperplasia and incomplete keratosis of oral mucosa, and easy to fall off; and a large number of exfoliated epithelial cells (i.e. tongue coating) can cover and block taste bud pores in the tongue papilla, thus affecting appetite. In recent years, appetite reduction has been regarded as one of the early manifestations of zinc deficiency in infants. Zinc deficiency babies can also have abnormal taste, namely, Pichia, like eating those messy things, such as cinders, soil and so on.

2. The growth rate of children with zinc deficiency was significantly lower than that of children with good nutritional status, accompanied by iron deficiency anemia.

3. Poor resistance, easy to suffer from upper respiratory tract infection, chronic diarrhea, etc.

4. Inattention, poor self-control, hyperactivity.

5. The baby's hair is yellow and easy to break, the wound is not easy to heal, easy to suffer from skin diseases.

6. The baby's ability to adapt to the dark vision decreased, and the development of reproductive organs was abnormal.
